This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used on this website, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Notice.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Some are needed for the site to work; others are optional and only used if you agree. We don’t use any non-essential cookies until you accept them.
Your choice
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject non-essential (analytics) cookies. Nothing optional is set unless you accept. You can change your mind at any time — reopen cookie settings or clear the cookies in your browser, and the banner will ask again.
The cookies we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
This remembers your cookie choice. It doesn’t track you and doesn’t need consent. We keep it in your browser’s local storage rather than a tracking cookie:

Analytics (only if you accept)
We use Google Analytics to see — in aggregate — which pages are useful, so we can improve the site. These are set only after you accept. They don’t tell us who you are. (Analytics is not active until we switch it on; nothing is set before then.)

If you reject analytics, these are not set, and any already placed are no longer used.
Spam protection
To stop automated spam through our enquiry form, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which may set a short-lived cookie or store similar information to tell genuine visitors from bots. This is used only around the form and only to keep it secure.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time — though some site features may not work as well if you block strictly necessary ones. The help pages for Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox all explain how. For more on cookies generally, see the ICO’s guidance at ico.org.uk.
